Community Guidelines
Last updated: 2026-03-22
Our Mission
ServoPress Club is a professional community for servo press engineers to share knowledge, solve problems, and advance the field. These guidelines help keep discussions productive and respectful.
Be Respectful
? Do: Treat every member with respect. Disagree with ideas, not people. Remember that members range from students to 30-year veterans.
? Don't: Personal attacks, harassment, discrimination, or condescending language. Zero tolerance.
Be Helpful
? Do: Share your experience. Provide context with questions (machine model, material, tonnage, etc.). Cite sources when possible. Help newcomers.
? Don't: Post vague questions without context. Gatekeep knowledge. Dismiss questions as "too basic."
Stay On Topic
? Do: Post in relevant categories. Keep discussions focused on servo press engineering, manufacturing, and related topics.
? Don't: Spam, off-topic posts, or thread hijacking.
Commercial Content
? Do: Share genuine product experiences and recommendations. Mention vendors when relevant to a technical discussion. Disclose affiliations.
? Don't: Spam product links. Post pure advertisements. Astroturf (fake reviews or fake user accounts for promotion).
Safety First
When discussing operations, maintenance, or modifications:
- Always emphasize safety precautions.
- Never recommend bypassing safety systems (light curtains, interlocks, E-stops).
- Remind others that online advice doesn't replace proper training and on-site assessment.
Enforcement
- First violation: Warning from moderators.
- Repeated violations: Temporary suspension (7-30 days).
- Severe violations: Permanent ban (harassment, safety endangerment, spam).
To report a violation, use the flag button on any post or email moderators@servopress.club.
