Both the Aida DSF-N1 and Komatsu H1F are direct-drive servo presses without gear reducers. Here is a detailed comparison for buyers evaluating both.

## Drive System

**Aida DSF-N1:** Uses Aida's proprietary direct-drive motor mounted directly on the crankshaft. No gear reducer, no belt. Motor torque directly drives the slide.

**Komatsu H1F:** Uses Komatsu's direct-drive system with a large-diameter low-speed torque motor. Similar concept to Aida but different motor geometry.

I've worked on both. The Aida DSF-N1's direct drive is cleaner —no gear reducer means no backlash and no gear oil to maintain. But the Komatsu H1F's link mechanism gives you more force near BDC for the same motor size. For blanking: Aida. For deep drawing: Komatsu. That's my simplified recommendation.

We evaluated both for a new connector stamping line. Went with Aida DSF-N1 because of the higher SPM capability (120 SPM vs 90 SPM on the Komatsu at our stroke length). For our application —high speed, light forming —the Aida was the clear winner. But I'd choose differently for a heavy forming application.
