16 weeks for a Schuler encoder — that tracks with our experience. We waited 11 weeks for a replacement power module on our Schuler. Meanwhile the Aida next to it needed a similar part and it showed up in 8 days from their Dayton warehouse.
The thing about Aida vs Komatsu that nobody mentions: software updates. Aida pushes firmware updates maybe once a year and they're usually painless. Komatsu's software is more stable out of the box but when you DO need an update, it's a bigger deal — their tech has to come on-site. We had a motion profile bug on the H1F that took 3 months to get patched because it had to go through Japan.
For what it's worth, if I were buying one press today for general-purpose progressive die work in the 200-400T range, I'd go Komatsu for the Fanuc ecosystem familiarity. If I were buying a line of 3+ presses for a dedicated high-volume program, I'd go Aida for the service network.
